The rug measures approximately 185 × 165 cm (72.8 × 65 in) and is finished in a warm neutral palette of cream, beige, light brown and deeper brown tones.

Large Central Medallion
The composition is centred around a prominent diamond-shaped medallion filled with stylised botanical and ornamental forms.
The central motif is surrounded by symmetrical floral elements, scrolling forms and an elaborate outer border, creating a balanced design with a strong decorative presence.
The pattern shows clear Oriental and Persian-inspired influence, a visual language widely adapted for European domestic interiors during the second half of the 20th century.
Dense High-Pile Texture
One of the rug’s most appealing features is its deep, tactile high pile.
Close-up photographs show the raised fibres in cream, beige and brown, giving the surface a soft and dimensional appearance.
The combination of textured pile and restrained neutral colours allows the pattern to remain decorative without overpowering an interior.
Woven Construction
Photographs of the reverse show a regular woven backing in cream, brown and grey tones.
The decorative pattern remains visible from the reverse side, while the perimeter has a finished woven edge.
Based on the regularity of the backing and edge construction, the rug appears to be machine-woven rather than hand-knotted.
Material
The pile visually appears consistent with wool or a wool-blend textile.
However, no surviving manufacturer’s label confirming the fibre composition is present, and the material has not been laboratory tested. For this reason, the rug is not described as guaranteed 100% wool.

Warm Neutral Colour Palette
The soft combination of cream, beige and brown makes this vintage rug particularly easy to incorporate into modern interiors.
The darker brown outlines emphasise the medallion and floral motifs, while the pale ground keeps the overall appearance light and versatile.
For Boho, Rustic & Eclectic Interiors
This rug works especially well in boho, rustic, vintage, eclectic and mid-century-inspired interiors.
It pairs naturally with solid wood furniture, rattan, ceramics, linen, woven baskets and indoor plants.
The rug can be used traditionally on the floor in a living room, bedroom or reading area.
Because of its strong symmetrical design, it can also be displayed vertically as large textile wall art, creating a decorative focal point above a sideboard, sofa or low cabinet.
Eastern European Vintage Textile
The rug represents a decorative style associated with Eastern European interiors of the later 20th century, when traditional medallion and floral patterns were adapted to contemporary domestic textile production.
Its neutral palette and textured pile make it appealing both as a vintage furnishing and as a decorative textile for modern interiors.
Condition
The rug is offered in vintage used condition.
The pile, decorative surface, edges, woven border and reverse backing have been photographed in detail to provide a clear visual record of its construction and condition.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the product description.
