Vintage 1991 Lefton Japan “To Grandma with Love” Hummingbird Glass Plate

A beautifully preserved vintage Lefton Japan decorative glass plate from the Designer Collection by Lefton, dated ©1991.

The transparent glass is decorated with two colourful hummingbirds flying among red-orange trumpet-shaped flowers and rich green foliage. At the centre is the elegant inscription “To Grandma with Love”, giving the piece a distinctive sentimental and collectible character.

The decoration is hand-painted from the reverse side of the glass, allowing the artwork to be viewed through the smooth transparent surface. The shaped scalloped edge is finished with a bright gold-tone border.

An especially desirable feature of this example is the preserved original “Designer Collection by Lefton – Japan” label, together with the visible Lefton ©1991 marking.
